The Montessori Summer Program is another dimension of our 'lived and learned life experience' that nurtures our children's ever-unfolding intellectual, physical and socio-cultural sensitivities.  It has been intended to cater to children's specific developmental needs, while making due allowance for parent's busy schedules.  It encompasses a single session of three weeks to suit your child's natural propensity for early summer adventure.

Your child's attendance through the session's complete duration will be invaluable in consideration of his/her overall development.

However, the Montessori summer program has been designed with a flexible schedule for those who are unable to attend through its complete three week duration from Monday, June 11, 2007 to Friday, June 29, 2007.  In such circumstances, the Montessori office will be pleased to tailor a program to suit each family's specific needs.

It is highly recommended for:

1.  Students who well deserve continuity in their Montessori lifestyle coupled with summer experiences.

2.  Students with special needs in mathematics and language based activities.

3.  Students who require specialized training in computer technology.

4.  New enrollees of the Fall Session, as orientation for their Montessori experience.

Our beautiful Bainbridge campus of Solon Montessori School is conveniently situated (just south of the U.S. 422 freeway exit) minutes away from Auburn, Aurora, Bentleyville, Chagrin Falls, Hunting Valley, Moreland Hills, Novelty, Orange Village, Pepper Pike, Russell, Solon and Twinsburg.

The facilities here have been innovatively and tastefully designed in accordance with the Montessori vision of a "prepared environment exclusively for the child of 2 to 12 years."  Our very child-oriented Bainbridge campus, no doubt, will fulfill every youngster's dream for undisturbed exploration and fun in learning both indoors and out.

 Programs:

Program I A special combination of academic experiences coupled with summer adventure indoors and outdoors for ages 2 to 5+ years in a versatile and stimulating environment.

This caters to the constructive, absorbent mind of the 2 to 5+ year old child.  Parents who wish to provide their children with a special combination of academic experiences along with summer adventures, indoors and outdoors, may find this program to be the most desirable.

In addition to the normal approach observed in the Montessori prepared environment, the summer session will take into consideration the following as its focal points:

*

The improvement of fine motor skills through a variety of arts and crafts.

*

The development and refinement of large motor coordination through exposure to outdoor fun, such as gardening, picnics, nature trails, music, theater, dancing and outdoor games.

The first 2 1/2 hours will be devoted to the above.  The last half hour will be spent on social interaction, lunch and relaxation.
